Gatewood After School Clubs

After School Clubs or Enrichment Clubs augment school day with optional classes after school. Gatewood’s clubs range from sports to dance to art/crafting to table games, just to name a few. The PTA's goal is to offer a variety of clubs to appeal to many different interests.

 

Clubs range from 60- 90 minutes and start right after the school day ends. Students make their way to the club rooms right as the bell rings, our Kindergarteners are escorted to their clubs by 4th grade students. Once the club is finished, students are dismissed by the instructor according to their family’s dismissal instructions (picked up by an adult, dismissed to walk/bike home or escorted to Cottage).

Volunteer with the After School Clubs:

 

Club co-Coordinator: We are actively looking for a club co-coordinator. The club coordinators will oversee the entirety of the program: vetting vendors, creating schedules, facilitating registration, working with families and being present onsite during club days. The majority of the work is off-site, however there is a requirement for a PTA member to be onsite during clubs. This position comes with a stipend and priority registration for their child in clubs. Adult Club Volunteer: Occasionally an instructor will offer a spot in their club in exchange for an adult volunteer to help in the club. These opportunities will be posted school wide.

Families will register for clubs on www.homeroom.com/sites/gatewood-elementary-school-seattle/enrichment. A full description, prices and age restrictions for each club can be found on the Homeroom site.
